Andrew Shahan has spent the last 27 years working with and learning from children with autism and their families in healthcare organizations, early intervention programs, public schools, university-based programs and community agencies and has a background in early childhood special education and mental health. Andrew served on California’s first Legislative Blue Ribbon Commission on Autism in 2006, and has worked closely with leading autism researchers and practitioners to bridge the research-practice gap in the autism treatment field. Andrew believes deeply that the voices of individuals with autism and families must guide and shape treatment efforts.
